Holiday Rentals in Brittany

Brittany is one of the most popular destinations for holidaymakers coming to France. From St. Malo in the north, around the spectacular Emerald Coast and the Morbihan Gulf (Golfe du Morbihan), to the regional capital of Rennes, there’s something for everyone. Dinard, on the Emerald coast, is popular with families, with its sandy beaches and coastal walks. Not forgetting Mont St Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most visited site in France.

Renting a self-catering cottage is ideal for really seeing all that Brittany has to offer. The Morbihan Gulf in Southern Brittany is an area of sea that stretches 20km inland from the Bay of Quiberon. Visit the walled town of Vannes, with its colombage architecture a prominent feature. The half-timbered houses often have wood carvings, one of a couple is known as ‘Vannes and his wife’. The Parc du Golfe is about a mile south of the town centre and it’s from here that you can take boat trips around the Gulf of Morbihan. There’s also an aquarium with a huge collection of tropical fish and the Jardin aux Papillons, a glass dome filled with vegetation where hundreds of butterflies fly free.

The beaches of Brittany from the Granite Coast to the Emerald Coast are exceptional, with some of the best surfing in the world, and the Gulf Stream contributes to a warmer climate. This friendly area of France is the ideal self-catering choice and there are some fabulous properties to choose from.
